The Social Upliftment Society (SUS) in Savar has embarked on an eco-friendly vegetable production and marketing project under the Rural Microfinance Transformation Project (RMTP). This initiative aims to empower poor, transitional poor, and microentrepreneur farmers by:
- Increasing their incomes: Enhancing productivity and income through the cultivation of high-value crops (HVCs) customized to changing climatic conditions.
- Building resilience: preparing farmers to adapt to climate change and ensure market competitiveness.
- Boosting livelihoods: Promoting diversification and market access for HVCs, fostering sustainable livelihoods in the long run.
